Educational outreach activities

1. DIU’s Motivational session at the YWCA Higher Secondary Girls' School & College, Dhaka
Art of Living team from Daffodil International University conducted a motivational session at the YWCA Higher Secondary Girls' School & College, Dhaka. As part of the outreach educational activities of the university, the session was conducted by Syed Mizanur Rahman, Co-author and Coordinator of Art of Living and Director of Students’ Affairs, Daffodil International University. Ms. Onuvuti Mir Sinha, Principal, Ms. Florence Gomes, Vice Principal and other teachers were present in that session along with 200 students of this prestigious educational institution. The students were spontaneous during the session and have expressed their energized feelings with the team.

2. Organized Awareness Workshop on Education System with Principals of 100 Colleges of Bangladesh
Daffodil International University organized and supported the daylong workshop on "Learning Gap Mitigation and Psychological Support for the Students in Post Covid-19 Education System" in association with the Dhaka Education Board under the Ministry of Education and respected principals from 100 colleges across the country. This was an initiative of the Directorate of Students’ Affairs of DIU as a part of community and stakeholders outreach activities.


3. Virtual Outreach classroom innovation webinar held with World University Association for Community Development, Indonesia
World University Association for Community Development (WUACD) under the Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), Indonesia in collaboration with Daffodil International University, Bangladesh arranged an international webinar, Conducting Enjoyable Virtual Classes, on January 28, 2021. Three speakers from Daffodil University made presentation and conducted open session during the webinar.


4. The DIU Policy Covered the Outreach Activities
The clause number 8 of DIU policy on Women Access, Participation, Counseling and Mentoring clearly highlighted the responsible department to carry out outreach activities:

8. DSA in collaboration with NGOs, educational institutions, local community will carry out outreach activities to encourage the women to get admitted in different subjects such as, engineering, mathematics, journalism, real estate etc. where they are underrepresented.
