Daffodil International University has achieved the top position in Bangladesh for the fourth
consecutive year in the ‘UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2020’, released on 7
December 2020. It is another milestone of DIU’s continuous commitment towards ensuring a
conducive and international standard educational environment in compliance with the
sustainable development goals of the UN which positively impacts the students, society,
environment and the earth as well. As per the rankings, DIU has been ranked 181 st globally
while Wageningen University & Research, Netherland and University of Oxford, UK ranked first
and second in this ranking list respectively.
The UI GreenMetric measures the contributions of the listed universities towards environmental
sustainability and SDGs through research and activities nationally and internationally. At DIU,
the Department of Environmental Science & Disaster Management; Architecture; Civil
Engineering; Electrical and Electronic Engineering; Textile Engineering; Computer Science &
Engineering; Nutrition & Food Engineering; Public Health contributed to this endeavor.

Daffodil International University (DIU) has been ranked 37th globally on Quality Education (SDG-4) in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings-2020, released on 22 April, 2020. Besides, DIU has been ranked overall within top 400 global universities in THE Impact Rankings-2020. The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings are the only global performance tables that assess universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. This result is based on the contributions towards several Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations.
