2. CISCO Networking Academy Online Educational Program at DIU which is accessible by anybody
Daffodil International University in collaboration with Cisco Networking Academy and SILICON VALLEY Community Foundation has been conducting a project on “Initiatives to make Networking and ICT more attractive and popular to the students of remote areas of Bangladesh”.

Daffodil International University with the help of Cisco Networking Academy through this project, has been providing training to a large number of students and professionals from the remote areas of Bangladesh regarding ICT and networking for a better and more effective career. This project aims to increase employment and awareness on ICT and networking among the students of remote areas of the country. Cisco, a world renowned networking academy actively supports the principles and programs of “Digital Bangladesh”.


3. Seminar on Build your Professional Career in Network & Security
DIU CISCO Networking Academy organized a seminar titled "Build your Professional Career in Network & Security" held on February 16, 2019 at the Auditorium-71 of the university.
Mr. Fakhruddin Ahmed, Country GM (Bangladesh), CISCO Systems, Mr. S.M Tofayel Ahmad, System Analyst (Joint Director), Bangladesh Bank and Mr. Md. Manirul Islam, CISCO ASC Lead were present at the program as speakers.


4. Example of providing access to educational resources for those not studying at the university through Dutch Bangla Bank-Prothom Alo Physics Olympiad-2020 where Students from various schools attended
Dhaka South Regional of 10th Dutch Bangla Bank-Prothom Alo Physics Olympiad-2020 was held at Daffodil International University on 07 February 2020.
Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Daffodil International University, Mr. Munir Hasan, General Secretary of Bangladesh Math Olympiad, Mr. Jahangir Masud, General Secretary of Bangladesh Physics Olympiad and Dr. Arshad Momen, Professor, Department of Theoretical Physics of Dhaka University were present at the program and distributed medal and certificate among the winners. Around 800 students from a different school and college attended this competition and 100 students has been selected from them to attend the next round. The winner of the National Physics Olympiad will get a chance to attend the International Physics Olympiad which will be held on Lithuania. Two students named Absar Khan Siam and Nabila Zaman won the best of the best award in this today’s competition.

5. Taiwan-Bangladesh Youth Access Program 2020
A team of 19 students from National Central University (NCU), Taiwan has paid a visit to the green Permanent Campus of Daffodil International University to join the Taiwan-Bangladesh Youth Access Program 2020. The objective of this program was to share the cross cultural knowledge among both universities’ students as well as experiencing the initiatives & leadership practices of YSBC & SBSF. They started rolling on from Innovation Lab where they were shown various project of SBSF, DIU initiatives and some highlights that depict Bangladesh. The event was hosted by Office of the International Affairs and Social Business Students’ Forum (SBSF), DIU.

6. Globally Most Popular Solo Public Lecture Program TED Talk titled 'TEDxDaffodilU’ at DIU (Access to Public Lecture)
Globally most popular solo public lecture program TED Talk was held under the title ‘TEDxdaffodilU’ in the 71 Auditorium of Daffodil International University. Organized by Career Development Center (CDC) of DIU, the program was addressed by ten renowned personalities of the country with the theme of ‘The Next: Life and Beyond’. The speakers were Mr. Hossain Khaled, Managing Director of Anwar Group and the youngest President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI), Mr. Quazi M Ahmed, CEO of Future Leaders, Ms. Ayesha Jahan Bibha, Trainer and Consultant, Mr. Ayman Sadiq, Founder of 10minute School, Ms. Kaniz Fatema, Telecom Entrepreneur, Ms. Zaiba, Tahyya, Social Worker, Mr. Masum Akond, Teen Entrepreneur, Mr. Mahfuz Russel, Social Activist, Team Bangladesh, Students of Robotics Olympiad, All Stars Daffodil, Stage Drama Group.

7. Access to DIU Public Lecture Series on Entrepreneurship and Career Development
With the aim to inform and motivate the educated youths of the struggle and challenges faced on route to success by the well-known Executives of the country, Daffodil International University has taken initiative to introduce Academic Lecture Series on Entrepreneurial Role of an Executive. Mr. Md. Arfan Ali, President & Managing Director of Bank Asia Ltd. delivered his first valuable lecture on “Entrepreneurial Role of an Executive” in the series on August 6, 2019 at the university conference room where the educated youths of the city attended. Career Development Center of the university organized the Lecture series.


8. Outsiders Access to Daffodil ICT Carnival to Facilitate Innovation and Industrial Growth
2-day ‘Daffodil ICT Carnival 2019’ was organized at DIU Permanent Campus at Ashulia. DIU organizes the ICT Carnival for the students and teachers of various institutions to foster their innovative minds and ideas. The carnival includes competitions, project showcase, smart Hakathon, programming contest, counseling and mentoring, fun events, learning opportunity, networking scope and many more so that every moment of the fest can be enjoyed and utilized with adding value. The winners, best innovators and performers were financially awarded.


The objective of the carnival was to bring all the talents, industries to pick the right opportunity on the same platform so that it gets success in true form. DIU strives to organize it in an innovative, effective and broader way to bring the best outcome from it.
