Sustainable Environment Colloquium: Focus on Bangladesh

Daffodil International University (DIU) hosted a research colloquium on “Sustainable Environment: Energy & Groundwater in the Context of Bangladesh” on January 16, 2023 in collaboration with Oak Ridge National Library,Tennessee and the University of New South Wales, Australia to learn, implement and share best practices among the parties on energy and groundwater sustainability. Renowned experts in the field from international institutions shared insights, contributing to environmental awareness and collaboration in Bangladesh.

Belt and Road Research Centre Inaugurated DIU's Undergraduate Research Program

Daffodil International University's Belt and Road Research Centre celebrated the launch of its first Undergraduate Research Program (URP) at the Prof. Dr. Aminul Islam Seminar Hall in Ashulia. The URP aims to spark research enthusiasm and decision-making skills among students, fostering academic excellence in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Dr. AKM Mohsin, Head of the Department of Business Studies and Deputy Director of DIU Belt and Road Research Centre, played a pivotal role in launching this program.

Global Cross-Cultural Engagement at DIU: A Visit from Lithuania

Two exchange faculty members, Dr. Gražina Čiuladienė and Dr. Miglė Eleonora Černikovaitė from Mykolas Romeris University, Lithuania, visited DIU in Bangladesh as part of the EU's Erasmus+ grant program. During their stay, they not only taught but also immersed themselves in Bengali culture by wearing traditional Sarees and embracing local customs. DIU's commitment to international exchanges and cultural understanding aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development.

Cross-Cultural Enrichment with Assam Downtown University to learn and share best practices

A delegation of students and faculty from DIU's Department of Computer Science and Engineering participated in a week-long Faculty & Student Exchange Program at Assam Downtown University in India. The program included academic exchanges, cultural interactions, and research activities, fostering cross-cultural understanding and promoting global learning experiences.

DIU Hosted 15th AUAP General Conference for international collaboration and Sharing Best Practices

Daffodil International University hosted the 15th General Conference of the Association of the Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP). The event, attended by representatives from around 30 universities, saw the signing of over 100 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) focusing on student and faculty exchange, knowledge and resource sharing, sharing best practices, joint academic and research program development, and course sharing, etc. These agreements strengthen academic ties among institutions across ten nations and align with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by promoting international cooperation in education and research for a more sustainable world.
