Hosted National HR Summit in collaboration with a2i, GoB

Daffodil International University organized the National HR Summit in collaboration with a2i (Aspire to Innovate) and supported by the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) and the Bangladesh Society of Human Resources Management (BSHRM). ICT secretary Md Shamsul Arefin was present as chief guest at the inaugural ceremony, while Mohd Monirul Islam, additional secretary, SDG affairs, Prime Minister’s Office, Mohammad Nuruzzamn, CEO, Daffodil Family, Tapan Kanti Sarker, president CTO Forum, Mohammad Mashequr Rahman Khan, president Bangladesh Society for Human Resource Development Anir Chowdhury, policy adviser, Aspire to Innovate, were present as special guests. Faculty, students, high officials along with HR professionals of various universities and business organizations attended the summit.

HRDI of DIU participated in LCOY Bangladesh (Local Conference of Youth 2023)

HRDI of DIU participated in LCOY Bangladesh (Local Conference of Youth 2023) to host a session titled "Planet Protectors: Teamwork for a Greener World." Mr. Amir Hamza from HRDI, DIU led the session using interactive activities and games to address environmental romanticism, key factors contributing to climate change, and nature-based solutions. The session engaged 250 participants from various regions across Bangladesh. LCOY serves as a worldwide initiative to educate and mobilize youth on environmental factors and climate change.

DIU Chairman Shares Insights at Uni20 Event on International Collaboration

Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman of Daffodil International University's Board of Trustees, participated in the Uni20 event within the G20 series, joining education leaders and entrepreneurs from 46 nations in Pune, Maharashtra. He discussed international collaboration in education and shared insights from Symbiosis International University, emphasizing entrepreneurship, student engagement, and a nature-driven approach. Dr. Khan aims to apply these learnings at DIU and leverage best practices through inter-university cooperation. Dr. Mahfuza Parveen Joins Commonwealth Futures Climate Research Cohort as Mentor

Dr. Mahfuza Parveen, an Associate Professor in DIU's Department of Environmental Science and Disaster Management (ESDM), has been appointed as a mentor in the Commonwealth Futures Climate Research Cohort 23-24. This program, aligned with SDG 13 (Climate Action), focuses on early career researcher development, climate action, and research co-creation. Dr. Parveen will guide and support fellows throughout a 12-month training program, facilitating climate research collaboration and networking. Her role as a mentor highlights her commitment to climate research and nurturing the next generation of climate researchers, contributing to climate action and sustainable development.
