It encompasses all areas of university life, including recruitment and employment practices, teaching and learning, student support services, research activities, and community engagement.
3. Responsibilities
The responsibility for implementing and upholding this policy lies with all members of the DIU community, including students, staff, and senior management. Supervisors have a particular responsibility to foster an inclusive culture, address concerns, and ensure compliance with this policy. The DIU management will provide necessary resources and support to effectively implement this policy.
4. Inclusive Culture and Environment
DIU strives to create an inclusive culture and environment that values diversity and promotes equal opportunities for all. DIU will actively work to eliminate any barriers that may prevent individuals from fully participating in the life of the university. This includes but is not limited to:
4.1 Providing reasonable accommodations and support for individuals with disabilities.
4.2. Ensuring accessibility in physical spaces, digital platforms, and learning materials.
4.3. Promoting a culture of respect, tolerance, and understanding where different perspectives are valued.
