Guidelines on Smoking Free Campus

  1. The entire campus of Daffodil International University (DIU), the premises of Daffodil Smart City (DSC), and other properties owned by the University is declared as a no smoking zone through immediate implementation of these guidelines.
  2. The guidelines will also be applicable against the use of smokeless tobacco products like Zarda, Sadapata, Gul, etc. on campus.
  3. Drinking alcohol and all type of alcoholic beverages by anyone is strictly prohibited at the university campus and premises owned by DIU.
  4. No one (teachers, students, employees, visitors, Guests, guardians, etc.) is allowed to smoke inside the DIU campus to ensure a pollution-free campus.
  5. Carrying cigarettes, alcoholic beverages, smokeless tobacco, any other drugs and substances, that are forbidden by the national laws, are strictly prohibited inside the DIU campus and its own premises outside the campus.
  6. If anyone is found violating any clause of this policy, the Disciplinary committee of the university will take stern actions against him/her as per their jurisdiction and TOR.
  7. These guidelines of Daffodil International University have been formulated to ensure a healthy and environment-friendly atmosphere inside the campus area. It will facilitate the prevention of all types of tobacco & alcohol use and drug addiction on campus. This will also support those who are willing to get rid of tobacco, alcohol and drug use for good.
  8. These guidelines are applicable to all stakeholders including teachers, students, employees, visitors, members of the Trustees Board, Guests, third-party personnel/workers, guardians, etc. inside the entire DIU premises including halls, open spaces, sports grounds, libraries, canteen, classrooms, teachers’ lounge, teacher’s room, toilets, etc. along with outside locations possessed by the University.
