3. Day-long training session on- Basic Psycho-social Support Skills for Teachers
Daffodil International University is not only concerned about the academic excellence of students but also focuses on their psychological and emotional well-being. With that in mind, the Office of the Director of Students’ Affairs, DIU organized a day-long training session on- Basic Psycho-social Support Skills for Teachers on 31st August 2022 conducted by Counseling Psychologist Dr. Lipy Gloria Rozario, Faculty, Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology, University of Dhaka. Dr. Rozario completed Bachelor in Clinical Psychology (Rome), Italy; MA in Counseling Psychology & Spirituality (USA) and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology. The session was attended by more than 30 faculty members of DIU to be introduced with the basic psycho-social support skills and techniques for responding to students’ psychological & emotional issues so that they can identify students who are in need of additional academic or personal counseling.
