10% Financial Waiver for Female students as a means of women’s access scheme

Daffodil International University offers a 10% tuition waiver for all female students, demonstrating its commitment to promoting gender equity in higher education. This initiative aims to encourage more women to pursue academic and career goals, alleviating financial barriers and supporting a balanced, inclusive academic community where women thrive.

Full Scholarships for Female Students from Palestine

Daffodil International University (DIU) has awarded full scholarships to 50 female students from Gaza, Palestine, as part of its commitment to promoting gender equality and global education. This initiative was highlighted during a visit from H.E. Mr. Yousef S.Y. Ramadan, the Ambassador of Palestine to Bangladesh, who discussed collaboration with DIU’s leadership. By offering these scholarships, DIU is empowering women from underrepresented communities and fostering international partnerships, contributing to SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality) by ensuring equal access to education​.

Childcare Facilities for Female Students ensuring easy access to education

 To accommodate the needs of female students and staff with children, DIU has established a childcare center on campus. This facility provides essential childcare services, enabling women to balance their academic and professional commitments with their family responsibilities. More than 50 children have benefited from these services. This effort aligns with SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and supports work-life balance for women by providing accessible childcare options​.

Residential Facilities for Female Students

DIU provides safe and supportive residential accommodations for female students, housing over 1,850 women in three dedicated hostels: Rowshan Ara Scholars Garden 1, Rowshan Ara Scholars Garden 2, and DISS Female Hall. These facilities ensure that female students have a secure and conducive environment for their academic pursuits. This initiative contributes to SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by offering inclusive and secure housing solutions​.

Separate Prayer Halls for Female

Daffodil International University (DIU) provides dedicated prayer spaces for female students, staff, and visitors, ensuring a private and serene environment for their religious practices. The female prayer halls are thoughtfully designed with comfort and accessibility in mind, providing well-maintained prayer mats, adequate ventilation, and quiet surroundings. These spaces respect the privacy and spiritual needs of female members of the DIU community, offering a tranquil setting where they can observe their prayers. Clear signage, as seen in the designated "Female Prayer Place" signs, directs individuals to these prayer rooms, ensuring they are easy to locate within the campus. DIU is committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment that accommodates the diverse religious practices of its community.
