Accessible Facilities, Support Services & Scheme for Disabled Persons

Daffodil International University strives to provide accessible facilities for people with disability. DIU has already several facilities available for disabled and a number of initiatives are in progress to provide maximum level of facilities and services to disable persons in campus. The existing accessible facilities for disabled are as following:

1. Physically Challenged/ Specially-able quota for disabled students



DIU offers up to 45% waiver to physically challenged/specially-able students. This financial support from DIU encourages physically challenged and disabled students to get access to higher education and enlighten their lives.

2. DIU has implemented Ramp facility in campus stairs for easy and comfortable movement with wheel chair for disabled and physically challenged persons

3. Personal Assistance to Disabled Persons in DIU Campus

4. Accommodation Policy focusing persons with disability:

DIU has a policy on Accommodation Facilities and Policy Guidelines (Special facilities are provided to disabled persons) and has been implemented in the campus.

5. Protection for Disabled in the Anti-Harassment and Non-Discriminatory Policy of DIU

DIU has an approved policy in practice on Anti-Harassment and Non-Discriminatory policy. The point number #3 of the policy addressed and the safeguard issue of disabled:

No one is allowed to make any discrimination and harassment with anyone including person(s) with disability (any kind of indecent behavior, violence, attitude, treatment, indication, mental harassment, ragging, bullying, fraud, deception, theft, sexual assault which affects the normal movement, education, discussion & activities, receiving university services etc.) inside the campus
