The DIU Microcredential Academy is the university's central hub for providing high-demand, short-term vocational education to the general public. These programs are non-degree, skill-focused, and designed for immediate professional application.
Enterprise-Based Training (EBT) for Food Industries: This initiative is a prime example of providing a free educational resource with an assured pathway to employment. Hosted in partnership with the Bangladesh Agro-Processors Association (BAPA) and supported by The World Bank's ASSET Project, this program targets dropouts and unemployed individuals.
The training on Food Industry Sales and Promotion spans three months, comprising 45 days of classroom instruction (4 hours daily) at DIU, followed by a mandatory 45-day full-time internship in a relevant industry. By offering this training at zero cost and including a promise of employment with specific earning guarantees upon successful completion, DIU turns academic resources into a vital tool for social equity and poverty alleviation.
Master Digital Marketing
● Curriculum Depth: This is an 80+ hour, 12-week program designed as a job-guaranteed course. It provides a comprehensive, credit-bearing education (3 Credit Hours) on digital marketing, covering full-funnel campaign planning using STP frameworks, platform mastery (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn), technical skills like SEO, Google Ads, and YouTube campaign design, and practical implementation via Google Tag Manager and Analytics.
● Accessibility: The course is offered to the public at a 50% discount (Fee: ৳5,000, reduced from ৳10,000), making university-grade, high-demand technical training financially attainable for external freelancers, job seekers, and entrepreneurs. The final week is dedicated entirely to freelancing strategies, client pitching, and CV preparation.

● Curriculum Depth: This 120-hour, 12-week course (3 Credit Hours) focuses on professional design proficiency, covering both foundational and advanced mastery of Adobe Photoshop (image retouching, masking) and Adobe Illustrator (logo design, vector graphics, packaging). Crucially, it incorporates emerging technologies with a module on Adobe Firefly and AI tools for design ideation and automation.
● Accessibility: Like the Digital Marketing course, this program is also offered at a substantial 50% fee reduction (Fee: ৳5,000), effectively distributing expensive, high-level creative and technical education to the wider public who cannot afford full tuition or market-rate training. The program culminates in portfolio finalization and professional strategy development.

DIU's Human Resource Development Institute (HRDI) and academic departments deliver specialized, short-term training to external organizations, serving as executive education or directed vocational upskilling.
● Manager Development Training (Dewhirst Group Bangladesh): HRDI conducted multiple batches of executive education focused on "Empowered Leaders for Sustainable Growth" for managers of the Dewhirst Group. This specialized, activity-based training utilized peer discussions and real-world simulations to enhance leadership capacity and sustainable growth strategies within the external corporate structure.
● "Essential English for Business Writing" (ACI Limited): HRDI provided a 4-day specialized training program tailored for ACI Limited personnel. This executive course focused on refining business email writing and professional communication skills, directly upskilling the corporate workforce.
● Microsoft Fabric Training (Data Crafters): HRDI supported this initiative to provide external professionals with specialized training on Microsoft Fabric—a key technology in modern data analytics and engineering—fostering continuous learning and innovation in the IT sector.
● Professional English Communication Training (Data Crafters): This training focused on enhancing the business communication skills of external professionals through interactive, game-based learning and assessments, essential for career success.
● Young Negotiator Programme: Climate Diplomacy Workshop: An HRDI Assistant Director actively served as a trainer, conducting specialized sessions to equip external young leaders and negotiators with the knowledge and skills necessary to engage in complex global climate discussions.
III. Free Online Vocational and Lifelong Learning Resources
DIU provides fully free, non-degree courses through platforms like GoEdu and HRDI, offering accessible lifelong learning resources to the general public.

o "Become & Make A Leader: With Examples": A program detailing how to cultivate leadership quality in oneself and others, targeted at personal and professional development for the general public.
o "Basic Etiquette For Better Personality": A short course focused on mastering the social skills and behaviors essential for personal and professional success in an interconnected world.
