B. Public Access to IT Infrastructure (Free)
Daffodil International University hosted the ICPC Asia Dhaka Regional Contest 2024 at its university premises where a total of 306 teams from 148 educational institutes of Bangladesh participated. The participating teams got access to DIU computers, internet, and all other logistic support during the contest.
Over 306 teams showcased their brilliance in programming and problem-solving. The following teams got recognized in the contest:
🏆 Champion: SUST_Fanatics (Shahjalal University of Science and Technology)
🥈 1st Runner-Up: DU_Singularity (University of Dhaka)
🥉 2nd Runner-Up: DU_Primordius (University of Dhaka)
DIU_Strygwyr from Daffodil International University secured the 10th position
The Bangladesh Olympiad in Informatics (BdOI) 2025 National Round was held at Daffodil Smart City - DSC, organized by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, DIU. This prestigious competition brings together 42 top young programmers from 36 institutions across 14 districts, challenging them to showcase their algorithmic skills and problem-solving expertise.
The event fosters a spirit of excellence, pushing participants to tackle complex programming challenges that test their analytical and computational thinking. Professor Mobasser Monem, Chairman, Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC), graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, along with other esteemed guests, making this a remarkable platform for the country’s brightest coding talents.

TED event ‘TEDxDaffodilU’ held at Daffodil International University
Globally most popular solo lecture program TED Talk was held under the title ‘TEDxdaffodilU’ in the Media Lab of Daffodil International University on 31 May, 2025. Organized by Human Resource Development Institute (HRDI) in association with Career Development Center (CDC) of Daffodil International University, this year TEDxDaffodilU 2025 is centered around the theme “Turning Point: The Breakthrough”, aiming to showcase thought-provoking talks and innovative ideas that inspire transformation. The program was addressed by 6 renowned personalities of the country. The speakers were Prof. Dr. Md. Rokibul Kabir, Convener, TEDxDaffodilU 2025, Professor M A Rahim, Head, Department of Agricultural Science of Daffodil International University, Shuvashis Bhowmick,Sustainability -Driven Business Leader & Carbon Credit Visionary, Dr. Awsaf Karim, Project Research Physician, Tamzid Rahman, Entrepreneur, Sajjad Hossain Khan, Alumnus, Daffodil International University and Umme Maisun, Young Online English Educator and Influencer, TEDx Talk. It was an open talk event accessible for all.
