Amio Jitte Chai - DIUDC National Debate Festival 2024 was held at Daffodil Smart City. This exciting 3-day event, brings together 64 debate teams from schools and universities across Bangladesh. Participants will engage in debates on crucial national issues, cultural performances, and workshops, all aimed at empowering youth and promoting democratic values. With the support of Democracy International and key speakers from civil society, this festival promises to inspire and shape the voices of tomorrow.
ICT Training for Healthcare Professionals
DIU conducted ICT training for health professionals at the Directorate General of Medical Education, aimed at enhancing their digital literacy and effective use of technology in healthcare. This training is designed to improve healthcare delivery by integrating modern ICT tools into everyday medical practices, significantly contributing to SDG 4: Quality Education. By equipping healthcare professionals with essential digital skills, we promote lifelong learning and enhance the quality of education and training in the medical field, ultimately leading to better health outcomes.
Hosted Bangladesh Olympiad in Informatics 2024 National Round: Open to all school & College Students
The Bangladesh Olympiad in Informatics 2024 National Round took place at Daffodil Smart City, bringing together the brightest young programmers from across the country. This prestigious programming competition provided a platform for high school and college students passionate about coding to showcase their problem-solving skills and creativity in addressing complex programming challenges. Organized by Bangladesh Olympiad in Informatics and hosted by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Daffodil International University (DIU), in collaboration with the DIU Computer and Programming Club (CPC) and sponsored by Dutch-Bangla Bank PLC, the event not only tested the computational abilities of young minds but also served as a stepping stone for future innovations in computer science. This initiative aligns with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), fostering a community of excellence in programming and nurturing the next generation of innovators.
DIU Hosted National HR Summit
Daffodil International University organized the National HR summit in collaboration with a2i (Aspire to Innovate) and supported by the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) and the Bangladesh Society of Human Resources Management (BSHRM).
ICT secretary Md Shamsul Arefin was present as chief guest at the inaugural ceremony, while Mohd Monirul Islam, additional secretary, SDG affairs, Prime Minister’s Office, Mohammad Nuruzzamn, CEO, Daffodil Family, Tapan Kanti Sarker, president CTO Forum, Mohammad Mashequr Rahman Khan, president Bangladesh Society for Human Resource Development Anir Chowdhury, policy adviser, Aspire to Innovate, were present as special guests.
DIU Job Utshob 2023: A Gateway to Career Opportunities for all
DIU Job Utshob 2023, a two-day career fair organized by the Career Development Center at Daffodil International University, is currently underway at Daffodil Smart City in Birulia, Savar, Dhaka. Over 200 organizations are participating, offering 3,000 jobs and 1,000 internships to more than 4,200 job seekers, primarily recent graduates. The event provides a platform for self-assessment, training, networking, and exploring career opportunities, with the theme "Connecting Talents: Unlock the Border of Opportunities."
Hosted 4th International Robo Tech Olympiad 2024
Daffodil International University (DIU) recently hosted the 4th International Robo Tech Olympiad 2024, a prestigious event that brought together 134 teams from 55 institutions of Bangladesh. The competition featured a diverse range of categories, including Robo Soccer, Project Exhibition, Line Following Robot Competition, Idea Presentation, Quiz Competition, and Drone Challenge.
The Olympiad provided a unique platform for young innovators and tech enthusiasts to showcase their skills and compete with peers from around the globe. Participants had the opportunity to learn from industry experts, network with like-minded individuals, and gain valuable insights into the latest technological advancements. The event was graced by renowned scientist Dr. Md. Mubarak Ahmad Khan, who inspired young minds with his words of wisdom. With a total prize pool of 3 Lakhs BDT, the competition encouraged participants to push their creative boundaries and develop innovative solutions.
