Access to DIU Events

1. Free Access to workshop on "Future of Teaching and Learning" Organized by Tazkera & Golam Mustafa Center for Teaching and Learning (TCTL), DIU


Tazkera & Golam Mustafa Center for Teaching and Learning (TCTL), DIU organized a workshop on "Future of Teaching and Learning" to extend its support to all academic institutes in Bangladesh at International Conference Hall, Daffodil Smart City, Ashulia. The acces to this workshop was open for all for free.
The objectives of this initiative were to understand the future of teaching and learning, understand learning modules and challenges, deliver knowledge using synchronized and asynchronized methods, motivate students towards online/offline Learning, evaluate students’ learning outcomes, identify and recognize the importance of classroom engagement and learn about teaching dossiers. The workshop was facilitated by Professor Dr. Ahmed Mustafa, Purdue University Fort Wayne, USA

2. TEDxDaffodilU organized by Daffodil International University
Daffodil International University organized TEDxDaffodilU where anyone had access to the lectures given by a number of renowned personalities of Bangladesh at Daffodil International University premises.


Dr. Atiq Rahman is a prominent environmentalist, scientist, development expert and a visionary thinker in South Asia who is well-known worldwide for his pioneering role and contribution to environment and nature conservation, climate change, Poverty alleviation and sustainable development. He was honored with the highest UN- Environmental Award, the Champion of the Earth, for the year 2008 in recognition of his outstanding and inspirational leadership and contribution globally, regionally, nationally and locally. He talked on Climate change and Sustainable Development at TEDxDaffodilU.


Shamir Shehab is the Founder and President of Bangladesh Youth Environmental Initiative (BYEI)-a youth led Non-profit Organization gave a lecture on triple crises that we face: ecological crisis exacerbated by dwindling biodiversity, environmental crisis due to unabated pollution and climate crisis because of our unfettered and unsustainable economic growth model.

3. Access to International Conference on Business Management, Macroeconomic Applications and Entrepreneurship Principles & Practices for Sustainable Development: Issues & Challenges
2 days long International Conference on Business Management, Macroeconomic Applications and Entrepreneurship Principles & Practices for Sustainable Development: Issues & Challenges was organized by the Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship, Daffodil International University on 27-28 March 2022 at the Daffodil Smart City, Ashulia, Dhaka. The conference was attended by the representatives (Faculty & students) from 7 countries with a total number of 74 research papers were presented. International guests and academicians addressed in the conference. Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, DIU addressed in the conference as the special guest by stressing on the necessity of innovation and implementation of the research outcome to solve the socio-economic problems of the world. Among others, Prof. Dr. Md. Shah Azam, Vice Chancellor of Rabindra University and Prof. Dr. M Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor of DIU addressed the closing session as distinguished guests.

4. Access to 9th International Human Resource Conference -2022
Bangladesh Society for Human Resources Management (BSHRM) and Daffodil International University (DIU) jointly hosted the 9th International Human Resource Conference -2022 on 16 June, 2022 at 71 Milonayoton of Daffodil Education Network, Sobhanbagh, Dhaka. The HR personnel and students of any institutions of Bangladesh had free access to this conference

5. Global Money Week celebration in Collaboration with Watermark, inspiring Bangladesh and FSIBL Bank
With the theme ‘build your future, be smart about money’, the Global Money Week 2022 was organized by Daffodil International University & Bangladesh Skill Development Institute in collaboration with Watermark, inspiring Bangladesh and FSIBL Bank during 21-27 March 2022 at DIU premises. 176 countries took part in the event to create awareness among the young generation regarding financial issues with strong money management skills. The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development hosted this campaign globally which reached 176 countries and 53 million children globally.

6. Local Community Participation at Independence Day Mini Marathon 2022
To mark the celebration of 52nd Independence Day and National Day of Bangladesh, Daffodil International University organized “Independence Day Mini Marathon 2022" on 26 March 2022 at the Daffodil Smart City, Ashulia, Dhaka. A total 175 students and local community young people participated in the Mini Marathon.

7. Anirban” (অনির্বাণ), world’s first Bangla programing IDE for kids with STEM robot KITTY was Launched at Bangla Academy Book Fair
Anirban” (অনির্বাণ), world’s first Bangla programing IDE for kids with STEM robot KITTY, developed by a student of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering of Daffodil International University Prapty Rahman and her team, was launched from Bangla Academy Book fair stage on 02 March 2022 which was an open event for all. Professor Dr. Binoy Barman, Director of Future Leader Initiative (FLI), DIU, delivered a speech and launched it, in presence of the Director General of Bangla Academy Mohammad Nurul Huda. Other FLI members Dr. Sk. Abdul Kader Arafin, Dr. Bimal Chandra Das and Mr. Mustafizur Rahman Sameen addressed the occasion.

8. DIU Business Olympiad 2022
Department of Business Administration & Department of Innovation & Entrepreneurship of Faculty of Business & Entrepreneurship, Daffodil International University organized DIU Business Olympiad 2022. Mr. Syed Alamgir, MD, Akij Group Ventures joined the program as the chief guests while Mr. Munir Hasan, Head, Youth Programme, The Daily Prothom Alo joined as the special guest. Professor Dr. S.M. Mahbub Ul Haque Majumder, Pro-Vice Chancellor, DIU was the guest of honor and the event was presided over by Professor Dr. Mohammed Masum Iqbal, Dean, Faculty of Business & Entrepreneurship.
There were 4 events in the DIU Business Olympiad including Business Plan Competition, Business Quiz Competition, Business Presentation Competition & Women Leadership Competition. Around 500 students from various universities participated in the different events of the Olympiad.
