Biogas

The Biogas project of Daffodil International University is one of the significant contributions towards renewable energy as well as Biogas is made in a biogas digester. Digester is a large tank filled with organic input material such as foodstuff remnants, fats or sludge, renewable resources such as corn, beets or grass serve as feed, manure, and dung. The final product of this fermentation process is biogas with methane as the main ingredient. DIU Green Campus aspires to take the lead in revisiting the reasons for contemporary environmental crises, to rethink how we can improve our environmental culture through newly developed paradigms to tackle burning environmental issues locally, nationally and globally. As such, Daffodil International University has set up a biogas plant at its permanent campus situated at Ashulia, Savar, Dhaka. The biogas plant helps DIU through utilizing the organic and inorganic waste materials to produce renewable energy which is environment-friendly.
