Female Students Mentoring Session on Managing Stress

The Psychological Service Unit at DIU organized a specialized mentoring session focused on managing exam stress, specifically for the female students of Rowshan Ara Scholars Garden (DIU Female hostel). The session was designed to equip students with practical strategies to handle the pressures associated with exams, such as relaxation techniques and mindfulness exercises. By addressing the mental well-being of students during critical academic periods, DIU ensures that underrepresented groups, particularly female students who may face additional societal stressors, receive the support they need to excel academically.

Psycho-Social Support Skills Training for Faculty Members

The university has emphasized equipping faculty with the skills needed to identify and address the psychological and emotional needs of students, especially those from underrepresented groups. The training sessions focus on building faculty members' understanding of psycho-social support techniques. The aim is to empower teachers to recognize signs of psychological distress in students and respond effectively with appropriate counseling or guidance. By doing so, DIU ensures that its academic environment is supportive and understanding, catering to the emotional well-being of students who may be facing unique challenges.

Workshops and Programs for Emotional Well-being: DIU organizes workshops focused on key psychological challenges such as anger management and leadership skills. These sessions are designed not only to develop coping mechanisms but also to build leadership and resilience among students. The university fosters an inclusive environment where emotional support and development are prioritized, helping students from various backgrounds to thrive academically and personally. Additionally, these initiatives are part of broader leadership boot camps that address both personal and professional growth.
