Women's mentoring schemes

10%+ Female Students’ Participation in Mentoring and Counseling Sessions

The Psychological Service Unit at DIU organizes a series of Mentoring and Counseling sessions for Female Students around the year. The female students of DIU including the female hostel students take part in the sessions. A total of 600+ female students (10%+ of female students) actively participated in these mentoring sessions in 2023. These sessions are held on issues like exam stress, self-confidence, career development, balancing academic and personal life, mental health & wellbeing, Gender-based Violence, Harassment, and Safety, etc. By addressing these crucial issues among female students during critical academic periods, DIU ensures that underrepresented groups, particularly female students who may face additional societal stressors, receive the support they need to excel academically​.

DIU organizes mentoring campaign for female staff and students in its campus

Daffodil International University (DIU) runs a dedicated mentoring campaign aimed at empowering female staff and students across its campus. This initiative focuses on fostering a supportive environment that addresses unique challenges faced by women in academia and professional growth. Through mentorship and counseling sessions, participants receive guidance on issues such as career development, leadership skills, balancing work-life responsibilities, and building resilience against gender bias. Additionally, the program provides resources for mental health and well-being, helping participants develop confidence and self-advocacy. By connecting students and staff with experienced mentors, DIU’s campaign actively promotes a culture of inclusivity, growth, and mutual support on campus.

 

Women Access, Participation, Counseling and Mentoring Policy

Daffodil International University’s Women Access, Participation, Counseling, and Mentoring Policy is designed to empower female students and staff by ensuring equal access to resources, encouraging active participation, and providing counseling and mentorship. The policy fosters a supportive, inclusive environment, promoting personal growth, professional advancement, and a safe, respectful campus culture.
